A webinar to assist officers understanding how air quality can be controlled through development control measures.

Air Quality has been at the top of many Local Authority agendas for many years, despite this, there are still numerous air quality management areas & air quality action plans in force in the UK. It is now recognised that the control of air quality is a "long game” and one of the methods to be utilised by Local Authorities in controlling the effects of air quality in the long term is through the development management function. This webinar shows officers how better air quality can be achieved through the careful use of planning conditions and application of good planning policy.

Green or workplace travel plans are strategic frameworks designed to reduce the environmental impacts of an organization's travel activities by identifying and promoting more sustainable travel options. Recognising the significant influence that workplaces can have in shaping travel behaviour, local authorities can require the development of these plans to advance environmental and sustainability goals.

This webinar will delve into the concept of green travel plans, explore the benefits they can provide to different stakeholders, and provide guidance for their development and successful implementation.
