This
webinar will set out what the Duty of Care is under section 34(1) of the
Environmental Protection Act (1990) and the requirements for waste producers
and waste holders in the UK. The seminar will give context in terms of the
definition of waste, waste hierarchy and the increasing prevalence of waste
crime – meaning it is more important than ever to adhere to the Duty of Care.
It will also go through 5 key requirements that must be followed, including an
overview of waste classification and List of Waste codes. It will also consider
recent consultations on Digital Waste Tracking (UK-wide) and reform of carrier,
broker and dealer registration (England only) which will impact Duty of Care
over the next few years.
